Walking the city

WASD moves you. Space jumps on foot. Drag with the right mouse button, or hold Q and E, to turn the camera. Scroll to zoom. Press V, or the 3rd button, to switch between third person and first person. In first person the mouse stays captured, and scrolling or the + and − buttons focuses the view in and out. Hold Alt when you need the cursor. A menu shows it too, and it is captured again when the menu closes. Ctrl focuses the chat, and sending the message returns you to the camera. The corner map stays near you. Press M to open the whole city with building names. Press C to get in or out of your car. In a car, WASD drives, Space brakes, and the orange line is only the guide. It does not walk you there. A driver hired at the car shop follows that line when you are traveling. Call a taxi from the map and it drives to you, then to the pin. The fare depends on how far that is. A job stays in your hands. On a job card, F confirms and G shows the way. If you leave that road, the guide draws a new shortest route. Set it from the map or Show the way. Press F, or click a building while you are next to it, to go inside. Food drops while you work. Drink drops by the time you spend moving, so driving does not empty it faster than walking. Standing still barely changes either. Chat at the lower left is heard by people nearby, and it appears above the speaker. At the mall, preview a look before you buy it. At the car shop, preview a car. At real estate, zoom the lot map, right-click to move it, and preview the house. A 4×4 house includes two parking spaces. Any other house needs a pad beside it before a car.

City hall and the park each take a 4×4 block. The arcade, tools, mall, supermarket, bank, and real estate office sit on their own blocks. Leaderboards are on the billboards by the park. At real estate, click a lot and choose a 1×1, 2×2, or 4×4 house with 1, 2, or 3 storeys. Claim coins, read the tax, borrow, and auction at the bank. Each person can own 3 houses.
