Car Race
Add names and race colorful cars to the finish line — just like a duck race, but with wheels.
How to use Car Race
Car Race turns a list of names into a animated race — similar to a duck race or derby. Each name gets a car, lanes are assigned automatically, and the simulation runs with live standings and finish times. Great for energizing a class while still picking winners fairly.
Step by step
- Enter at least two names, one per line, in the sidebar.
- Choose race duration, theme, and how many podium places to highlight.
- Click Start race (or press Space) and watch cars move with live ranks and timers.
- When the race ends, review finish times on the big results board, then race again or remove winners.
Tips
- Use fullscreen on a projector so finish times and standings stay readable.
- Shorter durations (30–45 seconds) work well for quick picks; longer races build more suspense.
- Sound can be toggled off if you are in a quiet classroom.
FAQ
- Are results random?
- Outcomes are simulated with comeback mechanics so late leaders can change, but every car has a fair chance over the course of the race.
- Can I reuse the same class list?
- Yes. Names stay in the box between races until you clear or remove winners.
