Upload Excel or load the demo. You’ll get an editable block list plus a live Word-style preview with tables.
How to use the Exam Formatter
Upload a spreadsheet, then shape the paper in the browser: insert headings between items, pick multiple-choice table layouts (1×4 / 2×2 / 4×1), and export Word-ready tables for matching and word pools.
Step by step
- Download the Excel template or match your sheet to the required columns.
- Upload CSV/Excel or click Load demo exam.
- Edit blocks on the left — insert headings or text between questions, change MC layout, add items.
- Copy for Word or download a .doc; tables paste into Word and Google Docs.
Tips
- Auto layout picks 1×4, 2×2, or 4×1 from choice length; override per question anytime.
- Consecutive matching rows become one Column A / B table; consecutive word-pool rows share one boxed bank.
- Use +↑ / +↓ on a block to drop a heading mid-section without changing the Excel file.
FAQ
- Is my question bank stored?
- Formatting runs entirely in your browser. We do not keep a copy of your spreadsheet.
