Wheel of Names
Add names, customize the wheel, and spin to pick a random winner.
How to use the Wheel of Names
The Wheel of Names is a fair random picker for classrooms, meetings, and giveaways. Add one name per line, customize colors and spin duration, then spin to select a winner. Names can be removed after each round so the same person is not picked twice.
Step by step
- Paste or type names in the Entries panel — one name per line.
- Switch to Customize to change colors, spin time, and wheel style if you like.
- Click Spin (or press the on-screen button) and wait for the wheel to stop.
- Use Remove winner to take the selected name out of the pool, then spin again.
Tips
- Use Shuffle entries before the first spin if the list order might bias attention.
- Fullscreen mode works well on a projector so the whole class can see the result.
- Your list is saved in this browser until you clear it — handy for recurring classes.
FAQ
- Is the spin truly random?
- Yes. Each spin is random, and every remaining name has an equal chance.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The wheel works for guests. Sign in only if you want to use other Uptoolify features.
